Rules and Regulations

You must submit a valid e-mail address to participate in the prize drawing.

Contest winners will be contacted by e-mail in order to obtain their names and addresses for the prize shipment.

If the winner's e-mail is invalid, or we do not receive a response within seven days, we will choose another winner.

E-mail addresses are used solely for this contest and will not be shared with or sold to third parties.

Any personal information we collect will be only used for the purposes of this contest and associated activities, and will be discarded afterward.

Multiple entries from the same e-mail address will be ignored.

Participants in the contest are not allowed to win more than once.

Winner information may be posted on HubbleSite.org, Amazing-Space.stsci.edu, or NASA.gov. We will only publish the first name, city, and state of winners in the United States; and the first name, city and country of winners outside the United States. This information will be used only to announce the prize winners.

If the Hubble Space Telescope is unable to take a special image for the "Hubble's Next Discovery - You Decide" contest, we will substitute an alternative image in its place. This alternative image will be distributed to the 100 random Hubble image winners.

Entries for the 100 Hubble image giveaway must submit their e-mail address no later than March 1, 2009, to be eligible for the random drawing. Winners will be announced and e-mail notifications sent by April 30, 2009.

Space Telescope Science Institute employees, contractors, and their families are not eligible for prizes.
